Alum Powder (Potassium/Ammonium/Aluminum Sulfate) is a white, odorless crystalline powder with strong astringent and antiseptic properties. It is commonly known as phitkari. It is used for water purification, skincare, and household applications. It acts as a coagulant to clarify water, an astringent to stop bleeding from cuts, a natural deodorant and a firming agent in food preservation. It is also used in tanning, dyeing and gardening.
