• Glass Etching/Etching Glass: Due to its ability to dissolve silica (SiO2), it is used to frost, etch or polish glass and create intricate designs on surfaces.

• Mineral Analysis: It is used in laboratories for dissolving rock samples and soil for analysis.

• Production of Fluorides: It is used to produce inorganic fluoride compounds like cryolite (Na3AlF6) and aluminum trifluoride (AlF3).

• Household & Consumer Products:

• Cleaning Agents: Hydrofluoric Acid in dilute forms is used in specific industrial-strength rust removers, car wash wheel cleaners and cleaners for metal, stone or ceramic materials.

• Pharmaceuticals & Agriculture:

• Chemical Synthesis: Hydrofluoric Acid is precursor in the synthesis of pharmaceutical intermediates ( like as fluoxetine) and agriculture products like pesticides and insecticides.
