Soda Ash Light

Soda Ash Light is a white, odorless and free-flowing powder form of sodium carbonate (Na2CO3), distinguished by its low bulk density and high solubility. As a key industrial alkali, it is primarily used in detergent manufacturing, water softening, chemical production, textile dyeing and as a fluxing agent in glass manufacturing.

Applications of Soda Ash Light:

• Detergents and Cleaning Agents: It acts as a builder to increase pH (alkalinity), soften water and enhance the efficiency of detergents and household cleaners.

• Glass Manufacturing: It acts as a flux, reducing the melting point of silica in the production of glass containers, flat glass and fiberglass.

• Chemical Manufacturing: It is a key ingredient in producing sodium silicates, sodium phosphates, sodium percarbonate and lithium carbonate for batteries.

• Textile Processing: Sodium Carbonate is used in the dyeing process to fix colors to cellulose fibers (cotton, linen, rayon) by regulating pH levels.

• Water Treatment: Sodium Carbonate is utilized in municipal and industrial water treatment to increase pH, neutralize acidic water and soften water by removing magnesium and calcium ions.

• Food Industry: It is used as a food additive (pH regulator) to manage acidity.

• Metallurgy & Mining: It is used in ore flotation and refining processes.

• Other Applications: Sodium Carbonate  is used in pulp and paper manufacturing, metallurgy (lead recycling), alumina production and flue gas desulfurization.
